HAVEN (Household Abuse Victims Emergency Network) is very grateful to receive a generous donation of 14 handmade quilts and three hand crocheted afghans from members of the Pine River Home, Community and Education group.

Before being completed by the group, one of the quilts had been awarded 1st Place for an Unfinished Quilt Top at the 2017 Lincoln County Fair.

Pictured here are (top row, from left) quilters Lois Oestreich, Cheryl Roets, and Morgan Wolfgram. In the bottom row is HAVEN Advocate Esther Schulz, with quilters Beatrice Roets and Mildred Behm. Pine River HCE members Kathy Schiefelbein, Verdella Hackbarth and Audie Grawien also worked on the quilts but were not available for the photo.

HAVEN sincerely appreciates the support from the Pine River HCE for those who experience interpersonal violence which will be conveyed through the beauty and warmth of these quilts as they are used by our clients.
