A 28-year-old Tomahawk woman was arrested Monday afternoon on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for violating terms of her probation.

Two people will face charges after deputies investigated a one vehicle crash Monday evening in the Town of Bradley. 911 calls reported a vehicle had rolled over on US Hwy. 51 at 5:30 p.m. The passenger was arrested for obstructing, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia which were located after K9 Poncho indicated on the vehicle. The driver was arrested for a second offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and obstructing an officer.

A 23-year-old Merrill man was arrested for misdemeanor battery Wednesday evening after deputies investigated a disturbance in the Town of Scott. The incident was reported around 11:30 p.m.

A 20-year-old Tomahawk woman will face drug charges after a traffic stop led to drugs. A deputy stopped the woman after he observed her fail to stop at a stop sign. When the deputy made contact with the driver he noted the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation advised maintenance on the USH 51 bridge over STH 64 has restricted traffic to one lane and they have installed a four way stop on State Rd. 64 at the bottom of the northbound on and off ramps. The roadwork there is expected to wrap up before Memorial Day weekend.

A 29-year-old Merrill man was taken into custody Friday morning after a traffic stop led to drugs. A deputy stopped the vehicle just after midnight. K9 Eros from the Merrill Police Department alerted on the vehicle and during a search marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. The driver further faced a probation violation and a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign.

A 48-year-old Gleason man was arrested Saturday morning for disorderly conduct and probation violation after deputies responded to a disturbance in the Town of Scott. The incident was reported at 10:51 a.m. at a business on Brandenburg Avenue.

A 21-year-old Merrill man was arrested Saturday evening on a drug charge following a traffic stop. When the deputy made contact with the driver he could smell the odor of marijuana. The man was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Only one car deer crash was reported this past week. An eagle was also struck on US Hwy. 51 outside of Tomahawk. The bird was taken to Wild Instincts Animal Rehab in Rhinelander where it had to be euthanized. A coyote was also struck by an ambulance.
