MHS open house showcases student artists’ work

Merrill High School’s annual Open House and Art Show Saturday honored

this year’s 16 student mural artists.

Thirteen students were selected to participate in the 12th annual Honors Art Workshop by demonstrating outstanding artistic talent and commitment. Three additional students sculpted multiple tiles which were assembled creating three relief murals that were also installed into one of the tiered study rooms.

A special feature of this year’s art show and open house was an Empty Bowls fundraiser, benefitting both the high school’s in-house food pantry and the new Habitat House homeless shelter in Merrill.
