MHS junior Christian Matson has emerged as a key asset for the Wausau-East/Merrill Bluejack co-op hockey program this season from his Center position. In-Mid January, Matson combined for four goals, with three of those scores coming January 16 over Shawano.
A three-year starter for the Bluejacks, Matson also competes on the Bluejay Boys Soccer team in the spring as a Forward.
In his free time, Christian enjoys spending time with friends and family in the outdoors, especially swimming and water skiing during the summer months.
Son of John and Sue Matson of Merrill, Christian currently maintains a 3.5 GPA.
Following graduation in 2019, Matson hopes to attend and play hockey at a 4-year university. Although undecided in terms of a major, Matson is considering entering into the medical field.
