Merrill Police reports

January 29
6:03 p.m.- Officers were dispatched to a disorderly conduct complaint. Officers had contact with the caller who stated the female he lives with had thrown items at him while yelling and creating a disturbance. The female was taken into custody for Domestic related Disorderly Conduct.

January 30
12:23 p.m.- An officer responded to a theft complaint. The victim had cash stolen from them. Investigation is ongoing.

January 31
9:25 a.m.- A caller reported her neighbor was outside screaming for help. Upon arrival officers determined that a male and female had been involved in a domestic disturbance. The male was found to have violated an open bond by consuming intoxicants against the rules of that bond. He was arrested for bail jumping. Based on investigation of the domestic disturbance the man was also charged for domestic disorderly conduct and intimidation of a victim.
10:48 a.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation and the request of Probation & Parole.
2:14 p.m.- A caller reported she was following a vehicle and observed a passenger in that vehicle pointing a gun out the window. She turned off as she feared the occupants of the vehicle had then seen her. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a high-risk stop. A CO2 BB handgun was located inside the vehicle which appears to look like a real handgun. The passenger was arrested for disorderly conduct.

February 1
12:17 a.m.- An officer attempted to stop a vehicle operating without headlamps illuminated during hours of darkness. The vehicle accelerated and led the officer on a brief pursuit. The driver was arrested for fleeing an officer and bail jumping. She was additionally cited for operating without a valid driver’s license.
10:38 a.m.- A caller reported her wallet containing her debit card had been possibly stolen from her vehicle overnight or possibly forgotten by her at a local convenience store. She discovered the debit card was used at a grocery store without her permission. The investigation is ongoing.
