Prairie River Middle School student Abby Schmidt has been selected as PRMS Youth Optimist of the Month for the month of November.
Nominated by Mrs. Becky Rindt, Mrs. Rindt had this to say about Abby:
“Abby is an outstanding student who works extremely hard and goes above and beyond what is asked of her. She is very self-motivated and always gives her best effort. Abby is kind and respectful and chooses to do what is right. She is also wonderful with helping other students. As other students will say; “Abby always helps us.”
“Abby truly demonstrates positive citizenship both inside and outside the classroom.”
Daughter of Joe and Michelle Bickett of Merrill, Abby is active in the PRMS track and forensics teams, student council and band.
Honors and Awards Abby has garnered include; Student of the Quarter (1st Quarter) as well as a President Education Award Recipient.
Abby has also been very active in Community Service, with accomplishments including; Make a Difference Day, Highway Cleanup and a participating in the Freedom Pen Project.
