As of last week, those seeking assistance with small engine and light auto repair have yet another local option in Zoomer’s Repair, located beside Wagner’s Shell station at 702 S. Center Avenue.
While owners Mike Sczygelski and Rick Erickson fully acknowledge they have their share of competition in town, both agree on their combined experience and the shop’s location as key assets which sets them apart.
“Merrill needs another service center for small engines,” Erickson said.
“I have over 30 years experience in small engine repair and Mike has close to the same. Our spacious shop and our location right here on the edge of town will help us to provide quick, convenient small engine and light auto service to the community.”
The pair will team with Rick’s son Chase and Mike’s son Jared Kniess, in providing a full range of small engine service and repair from ATV’s and snowmobiles to snowblowers and lawn mowers.
“When it comes to small engines, there isn’t anything we can’t do,” Mike adds.
In the area of light auto service, the four will provide services ranging from transmission and power steering flushes to oil and filter changes.
Those in need of service or have any questions are welcome to contact Zoomer’s during regular business hours of 8 AM-8 PM Monday-Friday and Saturdays 8 AM-2 PM at (715) 722-0101. Extended hours are available by appointment.
The crew also looks forward to providing seasonal services such as snow removal and lawn care/landscaping, as well as cold storage.
“If you need work done but are unable to come to us, we can come to you with free pick-up and delivery,” Mike adds.
Free delivery applies to customers within the Merrill city limits, those outside the city limits may be subject to a fuel surcharge.
Upon the development of steady business and customer base, Mike and Rick fully plan to add 2-3 additional staff.
