A 28-year-old Lac Du Flambeau woman was arrested last Monday evening on a warrant charge. A deputy stopped to check on a vehicle stalled on US Hwy. 8 at County Rd. Y in the Town of Bradley and found the operator was wanted for contempt of court.

A 56-year-old Tomahawk woman was arrested Tuesday morning on a warrant charge. Deputies went to the woman’s home off of County Rd. A in the Town of Bradley after a warrant was issued through Lincoln County Court. The woman was wanted on a civil warrant for failing to pay a judgement.

A 29-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested on a warrant charge and will now face additional charges after a traffic stop in the Town of Merrill early Wednesday morning. A deputy stopped the vehicle the man was driving on State Rd. 107 at Snow Road for an equipment violation. The driver provided the deputy with a false name and when the deputy realized the identity of the driver he found he was wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for probation violation. The man was arrested on the warrant charge along with a new charge of misdemeanor obstructing and three felony counts of bail jumping.

A 33-year-old Gleason man will be referred to the Lincoln County District Attorney on bail jumping charges. Deputies learned that he contacted the victim in his case in violation of his bonds through the jail video system.

Tomahawk firefighters and a deputy responded to a fire call this past Friday morning in the Town of Bradley. At 12:45 a.m. a resident on Thomas Road called with concerns about his furnace and was afraid it was overheating. Firefighters were on the scene for about 15 minutes.

A 25-year-old Tomahawk man was arrested Friday morning on a warrant charge. Deputies found the man in his home on Sunny Point Road in the Town of King and arrested him just before noon. He was wanted for failing to pay child support in excess of $1,000.

A 35-year-old Gleason man was arrested Friday evening after deputies responded to a disturbance in the Town of Russell. The man was reported to be drinking when an physical altercation began after an verbal argument. The man was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.

A 21-year-old Merrill man was arrested Saturday morning after deputies located a wanted man. Deputies went to the man’s home on Memorial Drive and arrested him just before 8 a.m. The man was wanted for failing to appear in Lincoln County Court on two counts of disorderly conduct.

A 34-year-old Merrill woman was arrested Saturday morning on a warrant charge. Deputies found the woman in a home on Pier Street and took her into custody on the warrant. The woman was wanted for a felony case in Lincoln County Court where she was charged with battery, disorderly conduct and a felony count of strangulation.

Deputies in Lincoln County assisted the Wisconsin State Patrol with a vehicle pursuit which ended on Mail Route Road in the Town of Harrison. A 26-year-old Stevens Point man was brought to the Lincoln County Jail by a deputy after the incident. For further information please contact the Wisconsin State Patrol Wausau Post.

Two Tomahawk men will be referred to the Lincoln County District Attorney after deputies investigated an altercation in the Town of Bradley Saturday afternoon. A 911 call reported the incident on Tannery Road at 2:45 p.m. One of the parties was transported by Tomahawk EMS to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital. Charges including disorderly conduct and bail jumping will be referred in the matter.

A 20-year-old Rhinelander man was arrested early Sunday morning on a drug charge after a traffic stop in the Town of Scott. The man was a passenger in the vehicle which was stopped for an equipment violation on US Hwy. 51 at County Rd. Q. K9 Nina alerted on the vehicle and deputies found several items of drug paraphernalia. The man was taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 28-year-old Merrill man was cited after deputies responded to a disturbance early Sunday morning in the Town of Scott. The man phoned the Sheriff’s Office to advise of the incident which occurred on Tannery Road. Deputies went to his home on County Rd. Z and took him into custody for a first offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

A dozen people reported striking deer this past week in Lincoln County. A motorist reported striking a turkey on Wednesday evening on County Rd. K north of County Rd. C in the Town of Merrill.
