Third graders spread kindness throughout Merrill

The third grade class from Washington Elementary received a grant from Beyond Crayons to spread kindness throughout our community.

On Wed. Dec. 19, Team E.P.I.C. (third grade teachers and learners from Washington) went out into the community to spread kindness. The first stop was the Merrill Police Department where they sang Christmas carols and delivered a tray of treats.

They then stopped at the Merrill Fire Department to do the same. Then on to County Market where they caroled and handed out Hershey bars decorated as snowmen to customers shopping.

The group stopped in to the City Garage to deliver holiday treats, then went across town to Piggly Wiggly and Church Mutual to spread more holiday cheer caroling and delivering Hershey Snowman candy bars.

Their last stop was Jenny Towers where they played BINGO with the residents and caroled. The learners really enjoyed the feeling of giving to others and the joy it brought to others faces!
