Merrill Police reports

December 18
9:07 a.m.- Officers were dispatched to Probation and Parole for a probation violation. A female was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
10:54 a.m.- Officers were dispatched to Probation and Parole for a probation violation. A female was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
11:51 a.m.- Officers made contact with a female who had a municipal warrant through the city of Merrill. The female was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
4:07 p.m.- Officers were dispatched to a court order violation. A male was arrested for the court order violation along with two felony bail jumpings.

December 19
7:57 a.m.- Officers were requested by Probation and Parole to take a male subject into custody for a probation violation. When officers went to take the male subject into custody, he became resistive with officers. The male subject was able to be taken into custody and transported to the jail on the probation hold and charges of resisting arrest.
9:43 a.m.- Officers were dispatched to a residence for a report of a possible domestic disturbance occurring. A male subject was taken into custody for an active warrant for his arrest.
6:18 p.m.- Officers were dispatched to the area of the 400 block of Cottage Street for a report of an attempted burglary. During the course of the investigation, it was found a male subject had damaged a vehicle and created a disturbance at a residence. The male subject was taken into custody for criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.

December 20
3:18 p.m.- Officers were requested by Probation and Parole to respond to their office and take a male subject into custody on a probation hold. The male subject was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
7:26 p.m.- An officer conducted a traffic stop on West Main Street for a registration violation. The passenger in the vehicle was found to have a warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. The male passenger was taken into custody on the probation warrant and transported to the jail.
7 p.m.- An officer was dispatched to the Lincoln County Jail lobby to take a male subject into custody that wanted to turn himself in on a warrant that he had through Winnebago County. The male subject was taken into custody and turned over to corrections staff.
11:11 p.m.- An officer on patrol observed a vehicle leave the roadway and travel on the inner portion of the roundabout, which is not part of the roadway. The vehicle was stopped and the male operator displayed signs indicative of impairment. The male subject was placed through field sobriety tests and was unable to complete most of the tests. He was arrested for operating while under the influence 1st offense.

December 21
12:03 p.m.- A store reported a female had attempted to steal several items of merchandise. Officers made contact with the woman who admitted to stealing the items. She turned them over to officers. She was cited for retail theft.
