2016/17 Recap: “The season had some inconsistencies,” coach Weix notes. “We played very well with our Non Conference Schedule – Undefeated regular season and our Conference schedule was 4-8, which we would have liked to improve on.”
2017/18 Outlook: “We have a great deal of varsity experience coming back this season,” Weix says. “Our perimeter play will be a big key this year. We have high skilled girls at the guard position that can create a shot and hit the three if needed. They feed well off each other and play unselfishly. Our posts will be tested and I am looking forward to seeing how well they compete. Liz and Rylee will be our big bangers inside and I have full confidence in them.”
Final Words: “The conference is very strong and many teams including us can be contenders for the top spot. We are at our best when we move the ball and our guards take the open shots. We are quick and can run well. Playing smart and taking care of the ball will be very important. Our inside game will be crucial in getting the easy points underneath and rebounding. Our team defense is versatile and expect us to generate easy points off of turnovers. We are looking forward to a competitive season and hope to see you all there!”
