Brandon J. Blaise, age 24, died unexpectedly in his sleep at the Raddison Blue Hotel on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, while visiting the Mall of America in Minneapolis, MN. He was born July 23, 1993 in Marshfield to Kenneth Blaise and Reyne (Emerich) Blaise.

Brandon attended Washington and Jefferson Elementary schools and Prairie River Middle School as a child. As he grew older, he enjoyed playing video games and grew to master any electronic device he picked up. Brandon also mastered the computer game Runescape and had many friends and followers in the gaming realm. He took wonderful care of his cats, Simon and Oreo as well as his new kittens, Solomon and Winston.

Brandon is survived by his mother: Reyne Blaise, of Merrill, Michelle (Dawn) Blaise, WA; two brothers: Christopher (Sam Yeskis) Blaise and Rory (Sarah) Collins; two nephews: Lucas and Spencer; aunts & uncles: Ed (Sandy) Blaise, Rick (Tammy) Blaise, Larry Blaise, Jerry Blaise, Jeri Lynn Blaise, Linda (Rex) Garnes, Anita (Bruce) Schulz and Deon (Ken) Gehrt; his 5 beloved pets: cats Simon, Oreo, Solomon and Winston and Penelope (the pug); and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Raymond “Ducky” & Rosemarie Emerich, Ed & Arlene Schulz, uncle: David Blaise, cousin: Andrew Blaise and his infant nephew.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Waid Funeral Home. The Rev. Ken Albers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3-7 Monday, December 11, 2017 and again from 10 AM until the time of service Tuesday, all at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park. Waid Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
