Holy Cross Associates reach out to incarcerated youth

It has been a holiday tradition for the Holy Cross Associates to reach out to the students at Copper Lake/Lincoln Hills School in Irma.

This marks the 11th year that Christmas cards have been addressed to the students. With the cooperation of the Holy Cross Office of Communications, over 160 cards were written for the students by Associates Ceil Bartelt and Carol Mancl. The cards will be included in their Christmas gift bags which are prepared by the Foster Grandparents Program.

“We are carrying on the work that Sister Benedicta Berger did when she volunteered through the Foster Grandparents Program. It is one way to reach out to the incarcerated youth,” said Russ Mancl, Director of Communications and a Holy Cross Associate.

Sister Benedicta now resides at Bell Tower Residence Assisted Living in Merrill.
