Daniel F. Woller

Daniel F. Woller, age 86, of Merrill, passed away on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, while residing at Artisan Assisted Living, Merrill.

Dan was born Oct. 9, 1931, in Merrill, son of the late Fremont and Lenora (Lange) Woller. He married Harriet Harbath on Aug. 7, 1954, in St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. She preceded him in death on Dec. 4, 2013. Dan owned and operated two laundromats in Merrill, and had also done construction work with Denvert Woller. Dan was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served honorably during the Korean War. Dan remained active in the Merrill V.F.W. Post 1638, having served as a post commander, and for many years was a member of their Honor Guard. Dan enjoyed golfing, camping, all sports, and NASCAR. Dan was a life member of St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill, and his faith in the Lord was very important to him.

Dan is survived by four children, Debra (Timothy) DuFrame, Merrill, Jeffrey (Charlene Krautkramer), Marathon City, Patrick (Kathy) Woller, Merrill, and Theresa Woller Williams (Mark Williams), Brentwood, TN; 11 grandchildren, Chad DuFrame, Jean Woller Clark, Katie DuFrame Mains (Josh Mains), Beth Woller Tatge, Kristine Woller Gregor, Molly DuFrame Norton (Jason Norton), Michael Woller, Leah Woller Duley (Steve Duley), Amanda Williams, John Baily Williams, and Michelle Retzlaff; and 22 great grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents, Dan is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie DuFrame Elliot; great grandson, Connor Gregor; and his brother, Ronald Woller.

A Memorial Service for Dan will begin at 12Noon on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. David Szeto will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the veteran section of St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Merrill, with full military honors conducted by the Merrill V.F.W. Post 1638 Honor Guard. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
