Allie Renzelmann named PRMS October Youth Optimist

Allie Renzelmann has been selected as the Prairie River Youth Optimist of the Month for the Month of October. Allie was nominated by Mrs. Jill Schmunk; Administrative Assistant to Counseling.
“I have observed Allie for several years both during class time and outside of the classroom,” Schmunk said.
“She is consistent, a positive influence and a great role model for her peers. On one occasion, I witnessed Allie defusing an altercation taking place outside between
two students. As I approached, Allie was encouraging them to comment on they both had contributed to the problem.
“On another occasion, students were asked to form groups to work on a project from the library. Allie became aware of a student that had not been chosen and invited the person into her group.” Schmunk adds.

“She has empathy towards others and tolerance for differences in people. That is very mature for her age. Along with this, Allie is an outstanding student academically.”
