Peter C. Buntrock 47, currently incarcerated at the Lincoln County Jail– was charged November 23 with two Felony counts of Intimidating a Victim by Threatening Force.
According to court records, an investigator with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was contacted on November 18th and advised of information indicating Buntrock had reportedly arranged for his $50,000 cash bond to be posted. Information provided also indicated upon release, Buntrock reportedly planned to use “code” to contact the victim of a sexual assault case he has been charged in, dating back to July 15.
In that case, Buntrock was charged with Two counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, 2 counts of Exposing Genitals or Pubic Area to a Child and two other felony charges related to sexual contact with a child.
According to court records, in May of this year Buntrock was reportedly involved in separate incidents of sexual contact with the same child, in both rural Lincoln County and the village of Weston in Marathon County. Buntrock also reportedly involved the child in the use of Marijuana and Cocaine during the reported incidents.
On May 31, Buntrock was charged in Marathon County Circuit Court with the same charges related to the Lincoln County case, as well as Felony charges of Manufacture and Delivery of Cocaine, Manufacture and Delivery of THC as well as Possession of THC; Possession of Cocaine and Felony Using a Computer to Facilitate a Sex Crime; due to Buntrock reportedly using social media to discuss the offenses with the victim.
In the most recent case involving Intimidating a Victim, Buntrock reportedly wrote several letters-one of which reportedly being 7 pages in length-making threats to the victim in the sexual assault case and the victim’s family members.
As a result of Buntrock’s court appearance on November 23, an increase in cash bond was ordered from $50,000 to $100,000. Buntrock remains in the custody of the Lincoln County Jail.
