All singers invited to join community sing-along

If you have sung in your recent (or not so recent) past and want a chance to make more music singing an incredible work, here is your chance!

As per tradition, the Merrill High School choir will be having a “Messiah” community sing-along during the Holiday Concert on Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. at the high school auditorium. Before the performance, there will be a few rehearsals offered for those who might need a refresher on the excerpts beforehand.

hese rehearsals are scheduled for Nov. 29 and Dec. 1 from 6-8 p.m. in the choir room. It is not required that you attend these rehearsals, they are solely for the purpose of re-learning the music. All singers who are interested must attend the dress rehearsal with strings on Saturday, Dec. 3 starting at 10 a.m. in the auditorium.

The choir will be singing “Glory to God,” “And the Glory of the Lord” and “Hallelujah” choruses with a string ensemble accompaniment. This should be a great opportunity to sing with other members of the community and show the high school students that singing can be a lifelong skill.
