Angela Detwiler

Angela  Detwiler, 40, died on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her home in Gleason, WI.  She was born on November  11, 1975 to Bernice Dodson and received through adoption on May 28, 1980 to Glen and Priscilla Petre in Altamont, TN.  They both survive.

Angela  enjoyed story writing and also writing  poetry.  Her most recent poetic work was done shortly before her death.  During her recovery from surgery she felt moved to write a children’s storybook focusing on adopted children finding security in Jesus.  Angels’a cancer journey ended with deliverance and complete restoration in the arms of Jesus.

‘I’m coming home to you Jesus,                because you’re calling me.

I long to leave my sickness here,               and come and rest with Thee.

But Oh my family Jesus, They tug my heartstrings so

Help me to trust them with you, and gently peacefully go.

My friends have blessed me Father, they’ve showered me with love,

I leave them in your goodness, I come to you above.

I’m coming home to you Jesus, where I can sweetly rest,

Leaving all the pain behind with you I shall be blest.’
