Merrill Police Department reports

September 5
3:15 p.m.- Officers responded to a civil stand by complaint. Dispatch advised the female had an active warrant for her arrest. The female was arrested and was transported to the jail.

September 6
11:02 a.m.- An officer responded to a local business for a shoplifting complaint. A female is seen on video stealing numerous items from the store. Investigation is ongoing.

September 7
6:50 a.m.- An officer took a report of graffiti spray painted onto a building. Possible suspects were identified and the officer is continuing the investigation.
3:24 p.m.- An officer observed a youth throw a piece of trash into the river at Stange’s Park. Contact was made with the youth and he was also found to be in possession of tobacco products. The youth was released to his parents and issued citations for littering, underage tobacco possession and underage drinking.

September 8
3:24 p.m.- Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of East First Street to take a male subject into custody for a probation violation. The male subject was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
3:52 p.m.- An officer met with a male subject who believed that his roommate had ordered some videos online using his credit card without his consent. The officer will be investigating this further. The male reporting party was taken into custody however on warrants through Marathon County and probation and parole.
7:33 p.m.- Officers were dispatched to a residence for a male subject that the reporting party wanted removed from the residence. Officers spoke with all parties present at the residence and found that the argument started over a mess made in the kitchen. The female subject attempted to bite the male subject and created a disturbance. She was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and transported to the jail.
