Lynn earns specialist certification in physical therapy

Skyler Lynn of Merrill Physical Therapy recently obtained board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in physical therapy. The specialty certification is administered by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists and requires a minimum of 2,000 hours in the specialist area and a passing score on the exam.

“I wanted to pursue specialist certification to advance my depth of knowledge in orthopedic physical therapy,” Skyler said. “Professionally, I want to provide my patients with the best care possible, using current evidence-based techniques. Preparing for OCS certification allowed me to accomplish this.”

Skyler is a 2003 graduate of Merrill High School, where he participated in the Athletic Training co-op program. He attended UW-Madison for undergraduate studies and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2010. He has been employed at Merrill Physical Therapy since 2011.
