Nicole Phillips of Tomahawk- has received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University at spring commencement April 30. Nicole, daughter of Kristine Phillips and Robert Phillips, is a Tomahawk Senior High School graduate.
Katie Wayda of Merrill-has earned Semester Honors for the Spring 2016 semester at Edgewood College.
Kristen Verdoorn of Merrill-has graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha. Kristen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology (graduated Summa Cum Laude).
Hunter Dowds, son of Matthew and Nicala Dowds, Merrill- was recognized for outstanding achievement at Lawrence University’s May 24 student honors and awards dinner. Dowds received the $5,000 Henry Merritt Wriston Scholarship Award. The award, named in honor of Lawrence’s 8th president, includes a $5,000 prize for each of the next three years to be used to enhance the student’s educational experience. He is a 2015 graduate of Merrill Senior High School.
