If you want to tap your toes to a few golden oldies, join the Merrill City Band tonight at Normal Park beginning at 7:00. The program includes such favorites as “Tennessee Waltz,” “June Is Bustin’ Out All Over,” “Ja-Da,” “Hogan’s Heroes,” “The Wizard of Oz Fantasy”, a medley with the “Beer Barrel Polka,” “You’ve Said It All,” and “On, Wisconsin”…. and more!
Munch on some tasty popcorn and sip some lemonade, available from HAVEN. Bring a little extra cash if you’d like to buy some tickets for the weekly 50/50 raffle. Ed and Sharon’s will have their shaved ice machine at the concert tonight, with 10% of sales going to the band. The kids will love it! They’ll also enjoy the kiddie parade, along with the treats they’ll receive at the end, including a coupon for free ice cream from Briq’s, Culver’s, Cup N Cone, or Dairy Queen.
Next week, July 6th, the band presents “National Salute,” under the guest direction of Michael Chula. A special invitation goes out to all veterans and members of the armed services.
Today marks the first day of the Merrill City Band Diners Club. Eat or have a beverage at 3’s Company and 10% of the day’s sales go to the band for the capital campaign. The band is raising money for needed equipment and to help develop Normal Park. Enjoy a great meal at 3’s Company and help the band and community at the same time! Next Wednesday, Pine Ridge Restaurant is the featured Diners Club restaurant. There is a different eating establishment each week, running through December 12
