Morgan T. Denney, 47, Irma, was charged June 3 with Felony-Operating While Intoxicated 4th Offense within 5 years.

According to court records, Denney was involved in an incident on June 2 in rural Lincoln County, in which he was reportedly the operator of a vehicle which was reported to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office as operating in a reckless manner.

Minutes later, Lincoln County Highway Department workers reported a vehicle matching the same vehicle description as Denney’s, driving through their work site, nearly striking two department vehicles and nearly going into a ditch on County Rd. B. Denney was eventually stopped by a Lincoln County deputy near the intersection of County Rd. H and D, after striking a street sign and landing his vehicle in a ditch. Denney reportedly did not complete field sobriety testing in a satisfactory manner and registered a blood alcohol level of .38 via Preliminary Breath Test.
