Mary Lou Johnson, age 76, of Merrill, passed away unexpectedly June 7, 2016 at her home. She was born March 30, 1940 in New London to the late Clarence and Ruth Mary (Watson) Johnson.
Mary Lou worked as a CNA for over 20 years at East View Nursing Home. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her friends at Park Place whom she became very close with. Mary Lou loved spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son: Steven (Linda) Baitinger, New London, WI: daughter: Lisa Schafer, Merrill; six grandchildren: nine great-grandchildren: one sister: Betty Jean Anderson; her kitty and best friend: Chunks; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruth Johnson, and sister, Ruth Ann Szablewski.
Funeral services for Mary Lou will be held at 1:00 PM on June 10, 2016 at Waid Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 1PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Merrill Memorial Park.
