Ardell F. Gransee, age 91, of Harrison, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 26, 2016.  Ardell was born March 26, 1925, in Delavan, WI, to the late Walter and Etta (Quass) Gransee.  He was married for 70 years to the love of his life, Evelyn “Tootie” Lemke, on May 29, 1946; she survives.

Ardell grew up in Darien, WI, where he attended school and where his family farmed.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.  Following the military, Ardell and Tootie moved to Whitewater, WI.  He began his career as a car salesman and later an over-the road truck driver.  In 1980, they moved to Gleason, WI, where he was a rural route driver for many years.  He loved nature and the outdoors, especially feeding and watching the wildlife.  Ardell enjoyed dancing, playing cards, bowling, gardening, golfing and the Milwaukee Brewers.  Most of all, Ardell loved entertaining family and friends and great conversation.

Survivors include: His Son, Roger (Sally) Gransee, of Whitewater, WI; 2 Grandchildren, Jeff (Carrie) Gransee, of Milton, WI, and Keven (Stacy) Gransee, of Whitewater, WI. Ardell is further survived by his Great Grandchildren, Morgan Gransee, Mason Gransee, Alex Heading, Dalton Erickson, Kaylee Gransee, Colton Gransee, Skyler Gransee and Heather Palmer and his Great-Great Grandchildren, Holly Gransee and Camden Gransee.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Walter and Etta, his Brother, Laurel, and his Sister, Audrey.

A memorial service for Ardell Gransee will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, from Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Gleason at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Greg Laska will officiate.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Services at 11:00 AM.  Generations Funeral Home of Tomahawk is assisting the family.  View Ardell’s obituary and leave online condolences at generationsfuneral.com.
