Church Mutual employees remember one of their own

Jessi Alft lost her 7-year battle with cancer in July 2014 at the age of 39. She never gave up hope and was an inspiration to all who knew her. Church Mutual employees formed a team of support during her time of sickness and continue to do so in her memory. Jessi’s Wish was born from a desire to help families affected by cancer when they need it the most. During a recent April Jean Day, CMIC employees rallied behind the charity and raised $2,157, a new record high. To date, the charity has raised more than $16,500 and helped over 20 people in the community.
The Jessica Alft Memorial Scholarship fund will announce a $1,000 recipient in its inaugural year. The winner will be announced on May 25 at the Merrill High School Awards banquet. aJessiWish_Group
