Patricia Ann Turner

Patricia Ann Turner began her eternal life with Jesus on May 8th 2016. She was 75. After marrying Robert Turner (former spouse), Patricia made Merrill her home for most of her adult life. Patricia was born on January 21, 1941 to the late Richard A. and Leona K. (Baeten) Retzlaff at their home in Kennan, Wisconsin. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Patricia was respected and loved by everyone who knew her. She enjoyed raising her sons, spending time with them outdoors, having them in cub scouts and always opening her home to their many friends. She was a member of St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ and involved in Jaycees. Patricia served her country in the U.S. Navy. Patricia is survived by her sons: Ronald L. (Christine) Turner and William R. Turner; both of Merrill, Wisconsin. Grandchildren include: Joseph, Andrew, Steven, Chloe and Hanah (daughter of the late Elizabeth Ziemba). Surviving siblings include James P. (Julie) Retzlaff, Helena, Montana; Sharon F. Groff, Wausau, Wisconsin; Michael D. (Eileen) Retzlaff, Amelia, Ohio; Sandra M. (Brad) Sutton, Chetek, Wisconsin; and Kathy (Patrick) Woller, Merrill, Wisconsin. Patricia had 15 nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Her parents, Richard A. and Leona K. Retzlaff, and, one brother Richard H. (Caroline) Retzlaff preceded her in death. A Memorial Service for Patricia will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Waid Funeral Home. Rev. Missy Holdorf will officiate.  Patricia’s friends and relatives will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of the service, at the funeral home. Burial at the St. Francis Veterans Cemetery will follow the service. Military honors will be performed by the Merrill VFW Post #1638 at the cemetery.
