Edmund E. Teschner

Edmund E. Teschner, 90, of Weston, originally of the Town of Schley, Lincoln County, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Renaissance Assisted Living, Weston.

Edmund was born on December 7, 1925, in Merrill, son of the late Henry and Emilie Teschner.  Ed enlisted in the United States Army on March 14, 1945, during World War II.  He was stationed in the Philippines and was honorably discharged on August 23, 1946.  Ed worked as a plant manager at Merrill Millwork.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill.  Ed was also a member of V.F.W. Post 1638, Merrill.  Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and traveling worldwide.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Teschner of Merrill and Peggy (Rick) Gremler of Brokaw; three sons, Daniel Teschner of Hancock, WI, Thomas ‘Toby’ (Julie) Teschner of Gleason and William Teschner of Merrill; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two step-children, Judy and Elizabeth; and one step-brother, Walter Laak of Florida.  Ed was preceded in death by his second wife, Mary; his parents, Henry and Emilie Teschner; his step-mother, Frieda Teschner; his grandchildren, Lori Hightower and Chad Teschner; his siblings, Charlotte Laak, Otto Teschner, William Teschner, Erhardt Teschner and Henry Teschner; his step-son, Stan; and his step-brothers, William Laak, Ernie Laak and Robert Laak.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill.  The Rev. Joel Hoelter will officiate.  Military Rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 1638, Merrill, immediately following the memorial service.  The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 A.M. Friday at church.  The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
