Support sought for Merrill Senior Celebration

Merrill has a long tradition of offering graduating seniors a safe, alcohol-free and fun party on graduation night to celebrate their accomplishments with their friends and classmates. Students continually say how fun the celebration is and how thankful they are to have this opportunity in Merrill.
This is the 16th year of the graduation celebration and the theme is “It’s a Jungle Out There!”
The goal of the Senior Celebration Planning Committee is to involve civic groups, business and individuals to financially support the celebration. The ability to host the party is based on donations and the sale of tickets ($20 each) to graduates attending the celebration. The celebration has had great support from the Merrill community during the past 15 years, in the form of monetary donations, prizes, food and volunteers.
Some of the activities offered in the past and hoped to offer again this year are (along with the cost): Sumo wrestling ($300), jousting ($300), bounce house ($450), DJ ($500), photo booth ($500), bingo cash prizes ($250), two caricature artists ($834), hypnotist ($1,500), magician ($1,500) and grand prizes of two 32” televisions.
Donors may choose to sponsor one of the activities, or a cash contribution to the general support of the celebration. Any amount of financial support is appreciated.
