Michelle Mary Sukow, age 51, of Merrill, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill, surrounded by her loving family.

Michelle was born September 3, 1964, in Merrill, daughter of Lester and Elaine (Doering) Sukow.  Michelle had worked at Lincoln Industries in Merrill.  She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill.  Michelle was the 1973 poster child for Lincoln County A.R.C. Michelle enjoyed spending time at the cabin in the Town of Russell, especially riding the 4-wheeler.  She also enjoyed visiting the local fire department, shooting baskets when she returned home from work, riding in her little red wagon, and weekly rides through Council Grounds State Park, and listening to polka music.  She liked playing with the neighbor’s dogs, Fritzie and Shadow.  Michelle loved spending time with her family and absolutely adored her mom and dad.

Michelle had a hearty hug for everyone she met.  Please pass this hug onto someone you love.  Michelle will be missed by her family and all her friends.  Everyone who met her loved her.

Survivors include her parents, Lester and Elaine Sukow, of Merrill; brothers, Sidney (Eva) Sukow and Brian ‘Mort’ (Linda) Sukow, both of Merrill; her sister-in-law, Cecil Sukow, of Merrill; and several nieces and nephews.  Michelle was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Sukow.

The funeral liturgy will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill.  The Deacon Jim Arndt will preside.  Burial will take place at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Merrill.  The visitation will begin at 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to Lincoln County Humane Society.
