City of Merrill Common Council seats will be up for election on April 5, 2016.
Current incumbents in those Merrill aldermanic posts are: District 1, Chris Malm; District 2, Peter Lokemoen; District 3, Ryan M. Schwartzman; District 4, Kandy Peterson; District 5, John Burgener; District 6, David L. Sukow; District 7, Rob Norton; and District 8, Tim Meehean.
The terms for these offices begin on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. The term for all offices is two years.
The first day to circulate nomination papers is Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, and the final day for filing completed nomination papers is Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, by 5 p.m. at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 1004 E. First St.
If a primary is necessary, it will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016.
