Carl D. Kuehn, age 49, of Wausau, passed away unexpectedly at Mount View Nursing Home. He was born February 21, 1966 in Merrill to John and Elinor Kuehn.
In his younger years, Carl was a very active little guy, always following his brothers around and spending as much time with them as he could. He had worked at Hurd Millwork, Badger Evergreen and Caribbean Auto Shop & Restoration before working at Northern Valley. Carl loved model airplanes, especially radio controlled models. As he grew older, Carl found enjoyment working on cars. He was a very talented artist and loved to paint with watercolors. Carl also enjoyed music and had played guitar ever since he was young. Carl was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his mother: Elinor Kuehn, Owatonna, MN; two brothers: Jon (Beth) Kuehn, Manitowoc, and Michael (Becky) Kuehn, Merrill; uncle: Rich (Shirley) Kuehn, Merrill; cousins: Jim and Tom Kuehn; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Kuehn, aunt, Helen Steidmann, Uncle Billy Kuehn and a cousin.
Funeral services for Carl will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Waid Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 AM until the time of service also at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Community Comprehensive Services, a division of North Central Health Care, for their care and compassion for Carl over the past 20 years.
