Julia C. Bergman, age 74, of Merrill, formerly of Gleason and Milwaukee, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Pine Crest Nursing Home.
Julia was born November 25, 1940, in Merrill, daughter of the late Albert and Ethel (Jones) Bruns. She was the youngest of 12 children. Julia married Otto Bergman on October 5, 1963. He survives. Julia graduated from Merrill High School in 1958. Her employment included Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Hot Point, and Downs’ Collectors Showcase. Julia and Otto moved to Milwaukee in 1964 and resided there for 42 years. In 2006, they moved back to Merrill. She loved camping, traveling, gardening, and spending lots of time with her family. Julia adored her four grandchildren and was very proud of them.
Survivors include her husband, Otto Bergman; her daughters, Lisa (Rich) Cichy and Robbin (Dave) Gigl; her grandchildren, Adam Gigl, Cory Gigl, Kyle Cichy and Taylor Cichy; and her siblings, Lucy Heldt, Connie Hecklinger, Gladys Uryga and Lewis Bruns. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ethel Bruns; and her siblings, Bernice Jones, Doris Jaeger, Michael Bruns, Harold Bruns, Vernon Bruns, Charles Bruns and Melvin Bruns.
A private service will be held.
