Motorists are advised to watch for lane closures, highway workers, and 55 MPH work zones beginning next week in Marathon and Lincoln counties at the following locations:
US 51 between US 8 and Lincoln County S (near Tomahawk); November 2 through November 5
US 51 between Lincoln County Q and Lincoln County K (near Merrill); November 2 through November 5
WIS 29 between East Circle and Hilltop Road (near Hatley); November 3 through November 12
Westbound WIS 29 between Marathon County X (Exit 173) and Alderson Street (near Weston); November 6
Crews are completing various pavement and shoulder maintenance work.
The schedules are subject to change based on favorable weather conditions and construction status. Motorists are reminded to drive with caution in work zones and should be prepared to encounter slow moving vehicles.
