National recording artist, spokesman Spencer Kane coming to Merrill

This Friday, Oct. 16, OTTS Garage Teen Center and Merrill area schools including Prairie River Middle School, Merrill High School, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, Trinity Lutheran School, and St. John Lutheran School will be welcoming 18-year-old national touring recording artist and spokesman Spencer Kane. Spencer is a television sitcom and film actor, a pop R&B singer, and a national spokesman for PACER (Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights) Bullying Prevention Center. He will be making presentations to middle school and high school students that include music and messaging geared toward making positive life choices as a teen and the four types of bullying to be aware of and avoid.
His presentation will take place in the morning at Prairie River Middle School and Merrill High School at 8:15 and 10:15 a.m. respectively and the other three schools will combine at OTTS Garage for a presentation at 1:15 p.m.
OTTS Garage Teen Center will host a live concert featuring Spencer at 7 p.m. Tickets are $3 at the door and doors open at 6:15 p.m. A public meet and greet with Spencer will follow the concert. More information and music videos can be seen on www.facebook.com/OTTSGarage.
Spencer’s accolades include winner of the 2015 Next Big Thing Music Award, Billboard #1 – Best Emerging Artist (Dec 2014) and back to back nominations (2012 and 2013) for Indie Pop Artist of the Year. His 2015 single “Runway” reached #2 in Billboard Magazine. Spencer is featured in the TV SITCOM “iShine Knect” on Trinity Broadcast Network and is a featured actor in the upcoming 2016 films “God’s Not Dead 2” and “Camp Cool Kids.”
