3:09 p.m.- An officer investigated a theft complaint in the 1500 block of Cotter Ave.
6:30 p.m.- Officers investigated a complaint in the 800 block of South State Street. As a result, two people will be charged with multiple charges, including possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
11:51 p.m.- Officers investigated an attempted burglary in the 600 block of Lake Street. Follow up will be conducted on this case.
October 1
2:25 p.m.- A caller reported sometime in the past two weeks she either misplaced or someone stole her driver’s license from her purse. She stated this person then used that driver’s license to pick up her prescription medication from a pharmacy in Wausau. The officer referred her to Wausau PD for investigation as the alleged incident took place there.
3:33 p.m.- A female probationer was found to have two warrants for her arrest through Tomahawk/Merrill municipal court. She was arrested for those warrants.
7:03 p.m.- A female reported her husband has not been taking his medications and “flipped out” by overturning a coffee table and throwing things in their residence. She reported when he found she was going to call the police he took the phone away from her and threw it preventing her from calling. The man had left the scene prior to officer’s arrival. His vehicle was observed a short time later and the man led officers on a pursuit for approximately two miles before stopping. He was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, intimidation of a victim, bail jumping and fleeing an officer.
7:53 p.m.- A caller reported reviewing his credit card account and discovered $1,400 worth of charges in the past two days on purchases made online that he had not made. The officer found the online activity showed the caller’s Merrill address for billing however the items were being shipped to an address in Florida. The transaction was able to be stopped through the store as the items had not yet shipped.
October 2
10 a.m.- An officer investigated a burglary in the 2200 block of Sturdevant Street.
10:46 a.m.- An officer investigated a theft on Glen Drive.
2:12 p.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation and taken to the jail.
7:42 p.m.- An officer investigated a burglary in the 900 block of Chestnut Street.
October 4
5:54 a.m.- An officer investigated a vandalism complaint in the 1100 block of South Center Avenue.
8:10 a.m.- An officer investigated a property damage complaint in the 400 block of East Street.
11:38 a.m.- An officer investigated a theft of money from the victim’s purse in the 700 block of South Center Avenue. The suspect was identified and admitted to the theft.
