RoseMary A. Plautz, age 77, of the Town of Texas, Marathon County, passed away September 24, 2015.
RoseMary was born May 26, 1938, in the Town of Hewitt, Marathon County, daughter of the late William and Julie Oestrerreich. She married Eldred F. ‘Buzzy’ Plautz in 1957, and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2012. RoseMary graduated from Baylor University in Texas with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She had worked as a dental hygienist before going into farming full time with her husband in the Town of Texas. RoseMary loved her horses. She also enjoyed four wheeling, snowmobiling, and boating. RoseMary loved sports of all kinds, especially NASCAR, football, and baseball.
Survivors include her daughter, Jo Marie (Chris) Ostrowski, Merrill; her son, Myron (Michele) Plautz, Forest Lake Minnesota; her five grandchildren, Tracy, Kate, and Ben Plautz, and Bradley and Kyle Ostrowski; and her two sisters, Joanne (Robert) Allen and Lorraine (Dr. Hubert) O’Neal, both of Georgetown, Texas.
RoseMary’s funeral will begin at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. Scott Holoubek will officiate. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday, and again after 9:30 AM Thursday all at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to the charity of your choice.
