Riiser Energy and R-Stores are excited to announce a new program which supports the Merrill Area Public Schools. The Merrill R-Store at 1001 N. Center Ave. has created a new “Pride Pump,” and Riiser Energy has committed to contribute two cents per gallon sold through this pump to support the school district. The total contribution will depend upon the gallons sold through the “Pride Pump,” but it is anticipated to result in an annual donation to the district of between $4,000 and $7,000.
“As a new store in Merrill, we are pleased to partner with the community this way,” stated Todd Kopplin, Riiser’s VP of Retail. “Riiser Energy has always had a Community-minded focus and utilizing the Pride Pump is a great avenue to provide funding for our local schools.”
“As an indication of support for our local schools, Riiser has installed a Merrill Pride Pump that will create an opportunity for individuals to purchase fuel from a local business and at the same time support Merrill Area Public Schools,” stated Wally Leipart, MAPS Superintendent. “A few pennies at a time will add up to a significant donation to support opportunities for students in our District. We want to thank Riiser for their willingness to offer this opportunity to us and for the donations to come through this innovative partnership between business and schools.”
