David P. Oestreich, 75, of the Town of Scott, Lincoln County, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at his home.
David was born August 19, 1939, in the Town of Scott, son of the late Paul and Leona (Berndt) Oestreich.
He married Margaret Ament on July 29, 1961. She survives. David had served with the Wisconsin National Guard. David was self-employed as a logger. He enjoyed fishing, especially trips to Canada, and deer hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Oestreich, Merrill; one daughter, Debbie Oestreich, Merrill; two sons, David B. (Tammy) Oestreich, and Darrell (Stephanie) Oestreich, all of Merrill; four grandchildren, Cole (Elizabeth) Oestreich, Wausau, Tyler Oestreich, Baraboo, and Alec and Kendra Oestreich, both of Merrill; one great granddaughter, Annabelle Oestreich, of Wausau; five sisters, Arlene Rieckenberg, St. Germain, Joann (David) Sauer, Marion Fox, and Elaine Oestreich, all of Merrill, and Betty (Jack) Clark of Florida; and one brother, Paul (Sandy) Oestreich of Wausau. Besides his parents, David is preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Oestreich.
A private family funeral service will be held. Burial will take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Town of Corning. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
