Dorothy M. Dahm, age 93, of Merrill, died on Friday, June 5, 2015, at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the care of her family and the nursing home staff.
Dorothy was born November 5, 1921, in Merrill, daughter of the late George and Lydia (Krueger) Raasch. She married Harry F. Dahm on September 24, 1949 in Merrill. He survives. Dorothy was a member of the ‘Homemakers Club’ for many years. She enjoyed bird watching, tending to her home, reading, walking in nature, baking delicious pies, and making homemade pickles. Dorothy especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived her husband, Harry F. Dahm of Merrill; one son, Dr. Steven Dahm (Dr. Laurie Wolf-Dahm) of Merrill; three grandchildren, Jennifer Dahm of Madison, James Dahm of Madison and Ryan Dahm of Fort Benning, Georgia; two brothers, George (Frances) Raasch of Green Bay and F. Wayne (Elizabeth) Raasch of California; one sister, Florian Koehler of Merrill; and one sister-in-law, Lucille Raasch of Merrill. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lydia Raasch; one brother, Donald Raasch; and one brother-in-law, Glen Koehler.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. Joel Hoelter will officiate. Burial will take place at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery, Merrill. Visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The Family has requested that memorials be directed to the Merrill Area Community Foundation/River Bend Trail.
