Three injured in two-vehicle crash

On Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. the Lincoln County 911 Center received a call reporting a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 64 at Maple Road in the town of Pine River, east of the city of Merrill. Investigation revealed an eastbound vehicle being operated by an 80-year-old Merrill man began to make a left turn onto Maple Road, crossing in front of a westbound vehicle being operated by a 66-year-old Deerbrook man, colliding near the intersection.
Both operators and a passenger of one of the vehicles were all transported to Good Samaritan Health Center in Merrill for non-life threatening injuries. One party required extrication from the vehicle due to damage sustained.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, speed and/or alcohol do not appear to be factors in this crash. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and was assisted by Merrill EMS, town of Pine River Fire Department and town of Pine River First Responders.
