Rose Ann Koruc, age 68, of Merrill, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at her home, under the care of her loving family and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.
Rose Ann was born July 3, 1946, in Merrill, daughter of Margaret (Sprafke) Koruc, Merrill, and the late Matthew Koruc. She attended school in Withee and Merrill. Rose Ann was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill, in 1961.
Rose Ann was a homemaker and caregiver. She enjoyed music, reading, flowers, watching television, and making crafts. In the early 1970’s, Rose Ann enjoyed communicating on her CB radio with the handle ‘Sunshine’. Rose Ann raised her special-needs granddaughter, Heather, along with help from her friend, William ‘Bill’ Muenchow.
Rose Ann is survived by her mother, Margaret Koruc of Merrill; her daughter, Annette ‘Nettie’ (Kevin) Bennetts of Antigo; her special friend, Bill Muenchow of Merrill; her granddaughter and godchild, Tami (Josh) Wienke of Merrill; two other granddaughters, Heather Jaeger of Colby, and Jessica Jaeger of Antigo; her step-grandchildren, Brittany (Michael) Garvey, and Justin Bennetts, all of Marinette; five great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Macy, and Morgan Wienke all of Merrill, and Rylee Jaeger and Mylee Hebert, both of Antigo; and her godchild, Lauretta Gryskiewicz of Merrill. Rose Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Lauretta Kaye (Grell) Guite; and her father, Matthew Koruc.
A private family memorial service will be held. Burial will take place at a later date in Merrill Memorial Park. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
