Virginia D. Luedtke, age 80, of Merrill, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Artisan Assisted Living in Merrill.
Virginia was born November 15, 1934, in Crown Point, Indiana. She was adopted by Walter and Selma (Kleinschmidt) Schulz. Virginia married Walter C. Luedtke on December 18, 1965, in Merrill. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2011. Virginia was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Merrill. She enjoyed watching bald eagles, watching movies, and reading the newspaper. Virginia also enjoyed cooking, sewing, working around the house, vegetable gardening and canning.
Survivors include her daughter, Eileen Luedtke of Merrill; and her sister Anna Mae of Crown Point, Indiana. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Luedtke; her son, Robert Walter Luedtke; and her parents, Walter and Selma Schulz.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. James Weiland will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
