Jeff O. Lokemoen

Jeff O. Lokemoen, age 52, went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. He was born on June 15, 1962 in Denver, CO and moved to Merrill in 1965.
Jeff got his start in life by working on the family dairy farm and later, family business – Lokemoen Farms. His parents, Gerald and Kathleen Lokemoen, taught him many of the work and business skills he used throughout his life.
His early dream was to become an over-the-road truck driver, and at age 21, he and his wife Jody “hit the road”.
Drawing on skills learned from their parents, Jeff and his brother Doug started a trucking company, Tri Hi Transportation in 1990 and had the privilege of working with his family and raising the children in a family business environment.
In 2000, once again drawing on skills learned on the family farm and high school shop classes, Jeff started Lokemoen Construction doing commercial and residential building, and had the privilege of working every day with his son, Jason, and father, Jerry.
Jeff firmly believed that you can do anything you set your mind to. Armed with that belief, an inexhaustible work ethic, enthusiasm and determination, he took on every day, every job, and every challenge, and conquered them all.
Jeff had many loves. He loved life, the Lord, children, family get-togethers, flying, Fox News, a good laugh, and a great story. But his greatest love was his wife, Jody, son, Jason, and daughter Megan, and there wasn’t a single day that he didn’t tell each one of them that he loved them, how proud of them he was, and how thankful he was for them.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jody Lokemoen and their children Jason and Megan Lokemoen. He is further survived by his father, Gerald Lokemoen, brothers, Eric (Jeannie) and Doug (Jennifer) Lokemoen, and sister, Lynn (Matt) Hein. Brother-in-law Dennis (Loretta) Eye, sisters-in-law Sherry (Jack) Kleinschmidt and Beth (Scott) Pergolski and beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his mother Kathleen Lokemoen, and his in-laws, Archie and Mary Eye.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at the Town of Merrill Town Hall, built by Lokemoen Construction, on Saturday, March 28 at 1:00 PM, service at 4:00 PM, with luncheon following. Memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice. Waid Funeral Home of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
