Lincoln County’s state funded snowmobile trails in Zones 2 and 3 (in the southern portion of the county’s Merrill area) will be closing as of 8 p.m. on Monday, March 9. Trails in Zone 1 will remain open for the time being. Watch for trail closed signs and please stay on marked trails and consult a new trail map to know where you are on the trail system.
Riders should use caution when riding as some areas may be rough doe to late season snow conditions. Watch for open water at stream crossings or on lakes as conditions may change rapidly.
All trails are closed to winter ATV use when the temperature is above 28 degrees.
Vehicles wider than 48” (including UTVs) and fat tire bicycles are not allowed on Lincoln County trails.
For up to date Lincoln County trail conditions, log on to www.co.lincoln.wi.us or call the trail hotline at 715-539-1033.
