Lorraine J. LaPerriere, age 69, of Merrill, died Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Lorraine was born February 7, 1945, in Merrill, daughter of the late Elroy and Velma (Wendorf) Kleinschmidt. She married Harlan LaPerriere on June 1, 1963, in Woodruff. He survives. Lorraine was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill. Lorraine worked at Church Mutual Insurance Company for over 30 years, and was a very hard working and dedicated employee. She enjoyed camping in Harrison Hills, sewing, baking birthday cakes for her grandchildren, watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, and watching the Green Bay Packers. Lorraine especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Harlan LaPerriere of Merrill; two daughters, Shevon (Jeff) Schmeltzer and Nicole (Don) Rohde both of Merrill; three granddaughters, Amanda (Dustin) Adams, Candace (James) Graap, and Amber (Tim) Mulrooney all of Merrill; ten great-grandchildren, Lakeyn, Ayden, Kenzingtyn, Madyson, Jayden, Emersyn, Graycen, Irelyn, Addilyn, and Aislyn; one great-grandchild on the way; four sisters, Linda Engman, Laurel (Robert) Henderson, LuAnn (Robert) Stevenson, and Lisa (David) Gervais, all of Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Elroy and Velma Kleinschmidt; and one sister, Lois Kleinschmidt. Lorraine is loved very much and will be missed greatly by family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
