Park City Credit Union and Arby?s of Merrill hold cash mob

Park City Credit Union and Arby’s of Merrill came together to not only offer customers of Arby’s great deals, but they also donated $1 for every person that just came in. This event was part of Park City Credit Union’s Cash Mobs for a Cause, designed to recognize locally-owned businesses on their Buzz Points program and give back to the community.
Gary and Mary Schwartz, owners of Arby’s and the attached convenience store Pine Ridge Mobil, matched Park City’s donation for a total donation of $435 that will be given to the Salvation Army of Merrill.
“We are extremely grateful to be able to hold these events at locally-owned businesses and be able to offer their customers some great deals,” said Melissa Wrycha, VP of Sales and Marketing at Park City Credit Union. “The support the community has shown by coming out to this cash mob was tremendous.”
“By being local owners of Pine Ridge Mobil and Arby’s, Gary and Mary Schwartz are keenly aware of the local needs of the Salvation Army of Merrill. We are grateful for their and Park City Credit Union’s support,” said Sharon Anderson, local coordinator for the Salvation Army of Merrill.
Park City Credit Union began holding their Cash Mobs for a Cause in 2013 as a part of their Buzz Points program. To date, Park City has held 45 cash mobs at local businesses in Merrill, Tomahawk, Rhinelander and Minocqua.
“We love holding these events, to encourage shopping local,” Wrycha said. “We can’t wait to hold even more in 2015.”
