Danny (Daniel) Lee Rampart, age 51, died November 20, 2014, at Kennedy Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Wausau, Wisconsin, after a long battle with cancer. Danny was born on October 17, 1963, in Wausau, Wisconsin. He lived most of his adult life in Merrill and Wausau, Wisconsin.
During his lifetime, he enjoyed music more than just about anything else. Over the years he enjoyed going to many rock concerts featuring artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton with his best friend, John Plautz, who was a loyal friend and stood by him through thick and thin his entire life. He also loved going to movies, building model cars, and fishing.
Danny is survived by his son, David Lee Miller; his daughter, Katarina Beth Miller; and his granddaughter, Lily Jean Schultz, all of Merrill. He is further survived by his very best friend, John Plautz (Kara Tesky) of Merrill; his sister, Carmen (Tom) Severt of Merrill; five brothers—Tony Rampart of Merrill; Charles (Pam) Rampart of Kalispell, Montana; Jason (Ruth) Rampart of Wausau; Corey (Ashley Hall) Rampart of Athens; and Willie (Kristen) Rampart of Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Rampart, and his beloved grandmother, Florence Rampart.
A private visitation was held for immediate family on November 21, 2014.
