The city of Merrill has declared a snow emergency. Vehicle parking will not be permitted on city streets beginning this evening, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Heavy snowfall is forecasted to continue into Tuesday, making travel hazardous. Total snowfall amounts are expected to range from 8-15 inches, requiring snow removal operations into the overnight hours on Tuesday.
Vehicles in violation will be subject to a fine and towing at the owner’s expense.
