Although numbers are very preliminary at this point, Merrill Parks and Recreation Director Dan Wendorf is already reporting Saturday’s seventh annual Lincoln Lager Barleyfest a success, with a total attendance of over 600 people during the four-hour event.
“The whole event was fantastic!” Wendorf states. “Everyone had a good time on both ends. The brewers were very pleased with the venue and enjoyed their time. Everyone else who came had a great time as well.”
This year’s event consisted of craft brewers, non-alcoholic vendors and vintners representing more than 50 brands, as well as live music and games. Wendorf states overall the event was a success in terms of proceeds but those figures will not be available for a few more weeks.
